For the concluding installment of Sequel August, the From Below Microcinema presents the only ever previously dreamed of, never before seen, world premiere of the surely some day cult classic *Hellraiser 1.5 (**1987, 1988, 2024) *on Wednesday, August 28th, at 8pm.

Clive Barker’s *Hellraiser *and *Hellraiser II *are unquestionable masterpieces. Never overlooked, unimpeachably brilliant from the jump, no qualifications like “actually supposed to be pretty good” needed here. Like many other sequels of the era, *Hellraiser II *heavily recaps the events of the first film for the audience by splicing together montages of footage from *Hellraiser I * into flashbacks. From Below front row regular Sean has been working tirelessly all of Sequel August to carefully suture together the two films into one single original coherent movie, what we’re calling the Cohan Cut of *Hellraiser 1.5. *Say goodbye to our run of sequels and come bear witness.
